Weddings, Elopements & Vow Renewals
Congratulations! I am so glad you have found my wedding page, and I would be honoured to help you celebrate your special day.
Your wedding ceremony should be one of the most meaningful parts of your day. It is where your story, your personalities and the promises you make to one another take centre stage.
Whether you are planning a large wedding, an intimate elopement, a micro-wedding or a vow renewal, I will work with you to create a warm, personal ceremony that feels completely right for you.
Your Wedding, Your Way
Most couples spend a long time planning their wedding, so every part of the day should feel considered and personal. Your ceremony belongs to you, and it does not have to follow a fixed script or a one-size-fits-all format.
I will spend time getting to know you both, learning about your relationship, the moments that brought you together and the people who are important to you. I will then craft a ceremony that reflects your personalities and tells your love story with warmth and authenticity.
You can choose your music, readings, vows, promises, symbolic rituals and the people you would like to involve. Your ceremony can be relaxed, romantic, traditional, modern, amusing or a mixture of everything that feels like you.
The ceremony should never feel like a formality before the celebration begins. It should be a focal point of the day and a memory that you, your family and your friends will treasure.
What Happens Next?
The first step is simply to get in touch. There is no obligation to book, and you are welcome to ask questions before deciding whether I am the right celebrant for your day.
- Initial enquiry and discovery call: We will arrange a relaxed telephone or video call to discuss your ideas, your date and the kind of ceremony you are imagining.
- Secure your date: When you are ready to go ahead, I will send you a contract and request a 50% deposit to confirm the booking.
- Your couple's questionnaire: I will send you some thoughtful questions to help me learn more about you. Not every question will apply, and you can add anything else you would like me to know.
- Planning meeting: We will meet face-to-face or online to talk through your answers, your ideas and all the personal details you would like included.
- Your ceremony draft: I will write your ceremony and send it to you for approval. You will be able to review it and request changes so that every part feels right.
- Your wedding day: I will liaise with your venue, keep in touch throughout the lead-up and arrive early on the day to make sure everything is ready before your ceremony begins.
Elopements, Micro-Weddings & Vow Renewals
A smaller ceremony can be every bit as meaningful as a large wedding. North Wales offers beautiful countryside, beaches, woodland and mountain settings for couples who would prefer something intimate and personal.
I create ceremonies for elopements and micro-weddings that retain all the warmth, storytelling and thoughtful detail of a larger celebration. Your ceremony can be shared with a small group of loved ones or kept entirely between the two of you.
I also conduct vow renewals for couples who would like to celebrate their journey together, mark an anniversary or make new promises for the years ahead.
Outdoor Ceremonies Across North Wales and the North West Of England
One of the joys of a celebrant-led ceremony is the freedom to choose a setting that means something to you. Your ceremony could take place at a hotel, a pub, on a beach, in woodland, in your garden or against one of North Wales' spectacular mountain backdrops.
I am based on the Isle of Anglesey and regularly travel throughout Anglesey, Gwynedd, Conwy, Denbighshire, Flintshire, Snowdonia, the Llŷn Peninsula and along the North Wales coast.
I also travel into North West England, including Manchester, Cheshire and Lancashire, and I am happy to discuss ceremonies further afield by arrangement.
For outdoor ceremonies, we can prepare a practical back-up plan in case the weather changes, ensuring the alternative still feels every bit as special.
Frequently Asked Questions
Planning a wedding is exciting, but it can also feel overwhelming. These are some of the questions couples most often ask me about celebrant-led weddings.
A registrar conducts the legal marriage ceremony and must follow the legal requirements that apply to it.
As a celebrant, I create a bespoke, non-legal ceremony based on your personalities, relationship and wishes. You can choose your location, music, readings, vows, promises and symbolic rituals.
A Humanist or independent celebrant-led wedding is not currently a legally binding marriage ceremony in England and Wales. You will need to complete the legal formalities separately through a register office or another legally recognised marriage ceremony.
Absolutely. Friends and family can contribute readings, music, stories, promises or symbolic rituals. I can also speak with people close to you when their memories and insights would help enrich your ceremony.
Start by getting in touch. We can arrange a relaxed discovery call, usually lasting around 15 minutes, to discuss your plans and answer your initial questions. There is no obligation to book following that call.
Yes, of course. I welcome every couple and provide a respectful, inclusive and judgement-free space. Your ceremony will be written around you, your relationship and the way you want to celebrate it.
Yes. A celebrant ceremony can take place in many different settings, including a beach, garden, woodland, hotel, pub or mountain location, subject to the landowner's or venue's permission.
I work throughout Anglesey, Gwynedd, Conwy, Denbighshire, Flintshire, Snowdonia, the Llŷn Peninsula and the North Wales coast. I also travel into North West England, including Manchester, Cheshire and Lancashire , and can travel further by arrangement.
Most ceremonies last around 30 to 40 minutes, but the timing is flexible. Music, readings, poems, personal vows and rituals such as handfasting can all influence the final length.
Yes. Small and intimate ceremonies receive the same care and attention as larger weddings. I can create a ceremony for an elopement, micro-wedding or vow renewal in a venue or outdoor location that suits you.
We will agree a back-up plan before the wedding so that a change in weather does not spoil the day. The alternative can be just as personal and beautiful as the original outdoor setting.
It is sensible to secure your date as early as possible, particularly if you are planning one or two years ahead. Shorter engagements are also welcome, so please contact me to check availability.
My wedding ceremony fees start at £750. Additional travel or time requirements may affect the final price, but all costs will be explained before you sign the contract.
I am trained and accredited by Humanists UK and belong to a wider network of celebrants. In the highly unlikely event that I could not attend, I would work to arrange an experienced celebrant to deliver the ceremony we have written and agreed.
Yes. Your ceremony can include handfasting, ring warming or another cultural or personal ritual that is meaningful to you. We can also include music, singing, dancing or other ideas that reflect your relationship.
